| 2. P/Invoke Wizard 2.0 Demo Version |
|
The demo version shows how the conversion works on the three most important include files in the Win32 API: winbase.h, wingdi.h, and winuser.h. These files contain over 32,000 lines of declarations with the following number of declarations:
- 4794 constants
- 2075 function declarations
- 349 data structure definitions
- 11 enumeration definitions
This demo shows you more P/Invoke declarations than you are likely to see in several years of dedicated coding effort. All of it, by the way, is to show you what the P/Invoke Wizard can do with all your other include file. To unlock these features for other include files – and to unlock the file and clipboard features – you just need to purchase a product license from us.
What is it worth to you to eliminate some frustration from your work day - or from your life? Yes, it's true that P/Invoke is very interesting to learn, and every managed code programmer is going to want to create some declarations by hand. That helps you to really understand them. But when you have a large number of declarations to handle, doing them by hand does not make sense; it is tedious and error prone work.
The bottom line is that it makes more sense for software developers to spend time on the creative and interesting challenges that their jobs demand of them.
